2016 a record breaking year for Invest Lithuania as production investments boom

2016 was another record breaking year for the foreign investment promotion agency Invest Lithuania as it attracted 36 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects to Lithuania. These projects are set to create 3,716 jobs over the next three years. By comparison, 28 foreign capital companies decided to set up operations in Lithuania in 2015, creating 2,370 jobs.

Singapore Business Review: Singaporeans have the second most powerful passport in the world

Singaporeans holPassportd the second-most powerful passport in the world, according to Passport Index 2017 by Arton Capital. It has a Visa-free score of 156.

Lithuania and Latvia get in TOP 10 with the same a Visa-free score of 149. Estonia is one position lower and takes the 11th place with a Visa-free score of 148.

Global Passport Power Rank 2017

2017 Bloomberg Innovation Index announced: Singapore takes the 6th place, Lithuania is ahead of its Baltic neighbours

Bloomberg has announced the 2017 Innovation Index ofBloomberg the 50 world’s most innovative economies.

The list is topped by South Korea, just like it did in 2016, followed by Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and Finland. Singapore takes the 6th place.

Lithuania is ahead of the other two Baltic States on this Index. Just like last year, Lithuania ranks the 32nd among 50 countries, while Estonia went up by one slot to 33rd, and Latvia ranks in the 39th position after climbing one position up since 2016.

Forbes has announced the list of the Best Countries for Business 2017

The prestigious business publication Forbes has ranked 139 countries in its annual Best Countries for Business list. Sweden leads the list, and Singapore, Estonia and Lithuania get in TOP 15. Singapore ranks the 12th position, Estonia and Lithuania, accordingly, have the 13th and the 15th positions. Latvia has lower position and takes the 25th place.
